Dr. Li Hongfen, from Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, was born in a 5 generation doctors’ family. She has devoted more than 50 years to the practice of medicine, traveling between China, Israel, and the United Kingdom. Throughout her career, she has served countless patients and brought hope to late-stage patients.

Her great-grandfather profoundly influenced her early life, helping her develop a deep respect for medicine from a young age. At 18, she chose medicine as her lifelong career, completing seven years of formal medical education followed by 13 years of teaching and clinical practice in Western medicine which laid a solid theoretical and practical foundation.

During her five years at Beijing Xiehe Hospital, Dr. Li gained extensive experience in treating complex and critical illnesses. While recognizing the effectiveness of modern medicine, she also observed its significant side effects, which led her to seek a safer, more holistic approach by integrating Chinese medicine with modern clinical practice.

Dr. Li has published more than 20 academic papers and led over 10 national and municipal research projects. Her commitment to scientific validation and clinical rigor earned recognition from the Chinese Ministry of Health. In 1996, at the invitation of the Israeli Ministry of Health, she traveled to Israel to conduct research and clinical work in integrative medicine, marking an important milestone in international medical collaboration.

In Israel, Dr. Li initiated cancer and asthma research on Chinese medicine,  she has been working hard and meticulously for 30 years, starting from basic experiments, and after confirming the efficacy, she used it in clinical trials, saving countless patients with middle and late stage cancer patients. also founded the International Chinese Medicine Cancer Research Center, these projects received grant from the NIH and approval from the Israeli Ministry of Health. Using advanced Western experimental methods and strict scientific standards, her team repeatedly verified the safety, efficacy, and mechanisms of Chinese medicine formulations.

One notable achievement was the development of ACNO, a Chinese anti-tumor formula shown to enhance NK cell activity, improve immune function, and inhibit tumor metastasis. Experimental studies demonstrated tumor cell inhibition rates of up to 85% without damaging normal cells. Another major contribution was PCCJ, an asthma formulation clinically proven to relieve symptoms rapidly, with an efficacy rate exceeding 90%.

Dr. Li’s work saved the lives of many patients previously considered untreatble, with long-term follow-up showing sustained benefits after remission. Over the past decades, Dr. Li and her team have treated patients suffering from rare, recurrent, and advanced-stage cancers that were considered untreatable by conventional medicine. Her work has highlighted the potential role of integrative medicine in complex and challenging cases. Dr. Li has treated many patients with advanced cancer, saving patients with only two weeks to live and children who had been in a coma for eight months due to brain tumors.

Another extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer— malignant liposarcoma of the groin. In 2007, a well-known Israeli medical doctor , was diagnosed with a massive groin malignant liposarcoma weighing nearly 9 kilograms. Despite undergoing extensive surgical resection, the disease rapidly progressed. In 2008, multiple pulmonary metastases were discovered. Conventional Western treatments were attempted, but the disease continued to worsen, and the patient’s physical condition deteriorated significantly. Eventually, she was advised to discontinue further conventional treatment due to poor tolerance and limited therapeutic options.

At this critical stage, the patient went to Dr. Li for help. After approximately 1.5 years of continuous treatment, imaging revealed a remarkable outcome: all pulmonary metastatic lesions had completely disappeared, and the patient’s overall physical condition had returned to normal. She remained disease-free for more than 16 years, with no evidence of recurrence, representing an extraordinary recovery in the context of advanced malignant disease.

The patient later described her experience in a published personal memoir, writing:

“When my body and spirit were completely broken, Dr. Li’s treatment brought a light back into my life. It felt as if new vitality entered my body. Her herbal medicine awakened my own healing power, helping my body recognize and eliminate cancer cells. I truly regained my life.”

In her public letters to the Israeli Ministry of Health and senior government officials, she emphasized that Dr. Li’s medical approach not only saved her life but also represented a new direction for cancer treatment.
